Women’s “Get-Away” Weekend: Spend a weekend with the Desert Institute at Joshua Tree National Park where you can go to unplug, to get away, to learn new skills and to enjoy the company of other course participants. Trade in your computer, cell phone, Instagrams, clocks, schedules and work-jargon for an off-the-grid weekend with the girls – three days of pure unadulterated fun and education! Join Cynthia Anderson and Elizabeth Wyatt on hikes, yoga practice, journaling, basic navigation and desert survival. This weekend of classes will be held at the Lost Horse Campsite, a beautiful location that is perfect for this program! 5 Reasons Why Every Woman Needs a Girls Weekend. Please note: the catalog describes this class as a three day weekend class, but Monday (Columbus Day) is not universally observed as a holiday, so we decided to make this a Saturday-Sunday class.
Camping is optional, but highly recommended. Camping equipment can be rented from local outfitters. Please call 760-367-5535 for more information.
