Focus on Joshua Tree Contest Winners

Posted

The winners have been selected for our Focus on Joshua Tree photo contest, which we held this summer between July 1st and September 3rd. The contest was hosted on both Facebook and Instagram and was open to everyone in the online community. To enter participants posted a photo from the park and included the hashtag #focusjtnpa. To win, their photo needed to receive the most likes.

Before announcing the winners, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who entered our contest. Thank you for sharing a photo of Joshua Tree National Park and sharing the beauty of the desert with your community. We ended the contest on the 50th Anniversary of the Wilderness Act, an incredible milestone in our country. Each image entered helped tell a story, share a moment, and communicate a feeling about this park.

Without further ado, we are pleased to announce the two winners. Their photos were like night and day.

From Facebook, Ken Lee:

Ken entered a photo of Arch Rock at night. The Milky Way curled around the park’s famous arch, while a person stood underneath the light of the stars and the glow of a headlamp.
