Request for Proposal

The Joshua Tree National Park Association is the non-profit partner to the park.  We operate the visitor centers, assist with park projects, and support the Desert Institute, which is the educational division of the association, offering a full schedule of weekend classes through the fall and spring seasons.

The park receives approximately 1.3 million visitors per year.

The JTNPA is seeking written proposals and samples from local vendors for product ideas that meet our Scope of Sales requirements. We are looking for park inspired products.  Items can include but are not limited to: long sleeve t-shirts;  women’s shirts; hoodies;  hats, books and games.   No food.

Proposals are due September 22, 2014. Please submit a photo of your sample, and include a statement of time needed for production and delivery following an order, as well as the cost of the product, and your level of commitment to the project.  Submissions will be judged on creativity, your ability to meet production requirements and cost.  Finalists will be asked to submit their sample for consideration.

All new products must be reviewed and approved by JTNPA staff, Chief of Interpretation and the Park  Superintendent to ensure compliance with the Cooperative Agreements.   Awardees will be notified.

We thank you in advance for your submission and your desire to work with the Joshua Tree National Park Association and your support of the park.  Additional Information may be accessed here: Vendor Application and the JTNPA scope of sales.

Please send all proposals to:  Cindy Carrington,  Buyer, JTNPA, 74485 National Park Dr, Twentynine Palms, CA, 92277  or  to  cindy@joshuatree.org.
