Discover the trail to Stubbe Spring in Joshua Tree National Park with desert naturalist Mark Wheeler. This trail offers a beautiful, quiet wilderness experience in the desert as it travels through a variety of terrain and vegetation. Students will enjoy fabulous views as they travel over mountains and ridge tops as Wheeler discusses the unique geology and ecology of the park. The class will hear about the rich diversity of flora and fauna in an area that is home to both the bighorn sheep and the desert tortoise. Participants must be in good physical condition and comfortable spending the day walking up to ten miles in the park.
