JTNPA has been pleased to support a Paleontologist Internship for the park. This position conducts field/collections research and data collection on the eastern end of the Pinto Basin and assists park staff in data collection, surface collection where necessary, recordation and mapping of existing paleo resources, reconnaissance of new sensitive areas for paleo resources, and reporting on the condition of the paleontology resources in the park.
