The Cottonwood Visitor Center is one of the more remote park stores in the national park. Located near the south entrance, it is the gateway to many hiking experiences including the Cottonwood Springs area, a unique grove of palm trees and cottonwood trees. Guests can purchase park passes at the visitor center as well as obtain information on trail conditions, camping availability, and more.

The Cottonwood Visitor Center accepts payments in the form of cash, checks, debit cards (with a credit card logo), and credit cards (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, & Visa) for purchases in the park store or for the purchase of passes into Joshua Tree National Park.
The Cottonwood Visitor Center features ADA compliant marked parking spaces for the convenience of our guests. This includes parking for vans that require ramp access. The parking spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Appropriate placards are required on display in the vehicle at all times.
The visitor center building is wheelchair accessible from the parking area with a curb ramp and inside the visitor center building.
The visitor center features restrooms for those that require wheelchair access. Stalls with wheelchair access are marked with appropriate signage.
