Located in downtown Twentynine Palms in the newly completed Freedom Plaza, and made possible through a partnership with the City of Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree National Park’s traditionally associated Native American communities, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Bureau of Land Management, the new Joshua Tree Visitor & Cultural Center is a must-see destination for park visitors.
In addition to the beautiful bookstore and information center, this new Visitor & Cultural Center features an incredible museum space that will feature rotating exhibits celebrating the culture, history, and stories of the Native American communities. The park store is also the perfect place for a special keepsake.

The The Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms accepts payments in the form of cash, checks, debit cards (with a credit card logo), and credit cards (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, & Visa) for purchases in the park store or for the purchase of passes into Joshua Tree National Park.
The Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center in Twentynine Palms features ADA-compliant marked parking spaces for the convenience of our guests. This includes parking for vans that require ramp access. The parking spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Appropriate placards are required on display in the vehicle at all times.
The visitor center building is wheelchair accessible from the parking area with a curb ramp and inside the visitor center building.
The visitor center features restrooms for those that require wheelchair access. Stalls with wheelchair access are marked with appropriate signage.
