The Joshua Tree Visitor Center is the most popular visitor center for guests looking to explore Joshua Tree National Park. Located near the downtown portion of the unincorporated community of Joshua Tree, the visitor center offers exhibits and a park store for those wanting a keepsake to remind them of the wonder they just experienced. Visitors often find themselves at this location as it serves as the main gateway to the park. During the busier months between October through May, it is a good idea to pick up a park pass at the visitor center to help expedite those wanting to enter the park as lines tend to form at the ranger station.
Open: 7:30 am | Closed: 5:00 pm
The Joshua Tree Visitor Center accepts payments in the form of cash, checks, debit cards (with a credit card logo), and credit cards (American Express, Discover, Mastercard, & Visa) for purchases in the park store or for the purchase of passes into Joshua Tree National Park.
The Joshua Tree Visitor Center features ADA compliant marked parking spaces for the convenience of our guests. This includes parking for vans that require ramp access. The parking spots are available on a first come, first served basis. Appropriate placards are required on display in the vehicle at all times.
The visitor center building is wheelchair accessible from the parking area with a curb ramp and inside the visitor center building.
The visitor center features restrooms for those that require wheelchair access. Stalls with wheelchair access are marked with appropriate signage.
All questions regarding accessibility can be directed to the Joshua Tree National Park Association at (760) 367-5525 Monday through Friday only. For weekends, contact the visitor center directly using the number above. We can also be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
